Airmagnet Survey Pro 8 2 Full: The Best Tool for Measuring and Assessing Wi-Fi 6E Performance

With its powerful design tools AirMagnet Survey PRO enables network professionals to predictively model the required changes, ensuring that problems found during the AirMapper site survey are fixed correctly, resulting in improved Wi-Fi network performance and connectivity.

With the AirMapper app on the AirCheck G3 or EtherScope nXG users can quickly and easily gather location-based Wi-Fi measurements and create visual heat maps of key performance metrics in AirMagnet Survey PRO. Simple to use, the AirMapper app is ideal for quick site surveys of new deployments, change validation, and performance verification.

Airmagnet Survey Pro 8 2 Full

With the combination of GPS support and integration with Google Earth, AirMagnet Survey PRO provides a clear path to fast, fully automated outdoor wireless site surveys. Users can leverage their NMEA-compliant GPS device to automatically collect outdoor wireless data. Users can import street maps of any city in the world, allowing results to be analyzed in the AirMagnet Survey PRO user interface, or exported into Google Earth for a zoomed-in view to any street within the city.

Before making any design and deployment decisions, it is important to account for RF interference from non-802.11 devices. AirCheck G3 or EtherScope nXG users can use the optional NXT portable spectrum analyzer to collect spectrum analysis data before or after a survey has been performed. With this information, users can visualize RF energy and identify the presence of non-802.11 devices interfering with the WLAN.

AirMagnet Survey PRO addresses challenges faced by network installers and IT staff while deploying Voice over Wi-Fi networks and empowers them with a built-in voice readiness verification system that allows users to ensure that their network design is in line with the recommendations of the phone vendor. It also allows them to perform real-world voice over Wi-Fi surveys. With this unique survey capability, users can validate and plot the phone call quality, capacity, and other voice specific parameters at every location on a floor plan, to help identify and minimize issues.

Google Earth must be installed in order to export the GPS data for outdoor surveys to Google Earth (Survey PRO only)Supported GPS device. A theoretical omni-directional antenna radiates equally in all directions, but when implementing a real-world antenna there are many factors that make this impossible (such as the physical construction of a metal radiating element with a connector and plastic radome, an slightly imperfect VSWR will result as well). In addition, since the radiating element is in the proximity to other metal contained in the access point printed-circuit-board-assembly and the enclosure plastic the pattern will be modified. Hopefully this helps explain things a bit.

WiFi heatmap software fully automates the process of mapping WiFi coverage on a map, allowing anyone to create a WiFi heatmap in a matter of minutes just by walking from one place to the next until the entire area is mapped.

To create a WiFi heatmap using NetSpot, all you need to do is enter the Survey Mode and follow the simple instructions. NetSpot will ask you to upload a map of the area you would like to survey, but you can also create one using the built-in mapping tool.

Then just walk from one place to the next to collect wireless site survey data and wait for NetSpot to automatically build a WiFi heatmap for you. The heatmap will tell you exactly where your wireless signal is the strongest and where it could be improved.

Intended for large-scale and local WiFi surveys alike, VisiWave Site Survey provides three effective methods for capturing data. You can either capture data one point at a time, continuously walk through the survey area, or use GPS positioning for outdoor surveys. Several customizable templates can be used to easily create custom WiFi signal strength and coverage reports, and the gathered data can also be viewed in Google Earth.

For example, a WiFi heat map showing the strength of a wireless signal is typically color-coded in green, orange, and red. Green parts represent areas of great signal strength, orange parts represent areas of average signal strength, and red parts represent areas of poor signal strength. Ideally, you want the entire surveyed area to be green, which can be achieved through various signal-optimization techniques and strategies.

AirMagnet Survey is ranked 2nd in Network Modeling with 4 reviews while Ekahau Site Survey is ranked 1st in Network Modeling with 11 reviews. AirMagnet Survey is rated 8.2, while Ekahau Site Survey is rated 8.2. The top reviewer of AirMagnet Survey writes "It fixes so many problems quickly that we don't regret spending more on high-end tools than most companies". On the other hand, the top reviewer of Ekahau Site Survey writes "Gives me everything I need to conduct a proper wireless survey". AirMagnet Survey is most compared with iBwave Wi-Fi, Aruba Wireless, Cisco Meraki Wireless LAN, AirCheck G3 and Cisco Wireless, whereas Ekahau Site Survey is most compared with iBwave Wi-Fi and Cisco Meraki Wireless LAN.
